WhatsApp was previously found to be working on a new Delete Message feature that would essentially be self-destroying the chats after a provided time.
In the latest beta version of iOS, it was indicated the WhatsApp has entirely changed the objective of the self-disappearing messaging feature and has made it more limited by only making it available in the groups of the app and not in the individual chats.
This new feature is specifically for the WhatsApp groups and could help users in the phone storage by deleting the older messages automatically after a given time period.
As per WABetaInfo, admins of the groups would be able to choose a time duration in which they want the messages to last before they get deleted automatically.
It is pertinent to mention that admins would also have the option of turning off the feature.
WhatsApp is also launching out the much-needed Dark Mode feature and as per reports some of its users have already tested it.
According to the most recent reports by the WABeta info, a blog that keeps track on the developments of WhatsApp, the Facebook-owned social messaging application is working on launching out the dark mode. But, the feature is all set for some users who are making use of the Android Beta version of the application. Dark Mode feature is still under development and the official release of the same is not yet revealed.
