A Note on the Processor
Some aggregator pages have mixed up the Neo 5 series chips. The Pakistan launch coverage from ProPakistani, Tech Prolonged, and Startup Pakistan, and the detailed specification record, all agree that the Neo 5 Pro 5G uses the UNISOC T9100. The Dimensity 7100 belongs to its sibling, the Neo 5 Max PadPhone 5G, and the Dimensity 7400 belongs to the higher Neo 5 GT. This article therefore uses the UNISOC T9100 for the Neo 5 Pro 5G.
ZTE nubia Neo 5 Pro 5G Features
The display is the first upgrade over the Max model. The 6.8-inch OLED panel offers deeper blacks and stronger contrast than an LCD, a smooth 120Hz refresh rate, and up to 1,300 nits of peak brightness for outdoor use. For a gaming phone, the shoulder triggers matter just as much: they give players physical buttons for shooting and aiming instead of on-screen controls, and nubia pairs them with a large cooling area, DTS:X Ultra stereo sound, and a linear motor for sharper haptics.
The battery is built for long sessions. The 6,000mAh cell is smaller than the Max model’s 7,100mAh battery, but the supplied 80W charger closes much of that gap, and bypass charging lets the phone run directly from the charger during plugged-in gaming so the battery stays cooler. The 50MP main camera records 4K video at 30fps, which is a useful bonus on a gaming-first phone, and IP64 splash resistance adds everyday durability.
